MEXICO — Registration for university summer session courses at University College at Rumford/Mexico is open and ongoing. Start dates vary according to university, with most courses in the first session beginning in May and later sessions beginning in June and July.

Courses in education, computer information systems, health and human services, business, nursing, library science, counseling and the liberal arts are all part of the summer schedule. Courses are offered on-site, online and via interactive television and videoconference. Students also can attend classes at sites in Farmington, Jay, Kingfield, Rangeley, Skowhegan and Fairfield. Summer sessions typically run for seven weeks.

In addition to courses, University College at Rumford/Mexico offers students a full range of support services. Center advisors provide career counseling and assist students with financial aid applications, course registrations, book orders, computer access and more.

Students who are thinking about taking a course or exploring degree programs are encouraged to contact the center for an advising session. Summer is a great time to take classes. The shorter sessions allow students to get ahead or catch up and lighten their course load during the fall and spring semesters.
