Lauryn Griffey-Parks, 10, of Lewiston, is shown in a Dorothy dress with the American Girl doll, Saige, also dressed as Dorothy from “The Wizard of Oz.” Preparations are underway at the Woman’s Literary Union for the upcoming Mother-Daughter-Doll Tea to be held in five sessions over Saturday, April 27, and Sunday, April 28. The “Over the Rainbow” theme will include a skit based on “The Wizard of Oz.” Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance. Sessions are nearly full; for availability of tickets call 619-2958. The event will also feature a boutique of doll clothes and accessories for sale. A raffle is being held for the doll, which is American Girl’s 2013 Girl of the Year, along with two Saige books and other accessories. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three for $5.
