FARMINGTON — After two years at 106 Anson St., County Seat Realty is ready for more space.

The real estate office plans to open at 186 Main St. on May 6 after moving on May 3.

“We’ve run out of room,” said owner Gloria McGraw, who started the business two years ago in her home.

Four sales agents and a secretary staff the office, with a fifth agent preparing to join them.

As agents worked at the new space Wednesday, McGraw said it provides great visibility, space for a conference room, private offices and their own work stations. Agents Becky Maxim, Amy Hanrahan and Nate Belcher worked along with McGraw cleaning and lining up furnishings.

“Farmington is a vibrant, energetic town,” she said. “We’re happy to be a bigger part of the downtown.”

From day one, she’s been active in the Farmington Downtown Association and Farmington Rotary, McGraw said.

With about seven closings lined up in May, the business has done well in just two years, the owner said.

“We work hard at it and make it happen,” McGraw said.

New signs for the front of the building, which was formerly occupied by the Sun Journal, are being created.
