FARMINGTON — The UMaine Cooperative Extension of Franklin County is hosting a business workshop titled “Marketing Tips for Business Success.” It will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the UMaine Cooperative Extension Franklin County office, 138 Pleasant St.

Whether you are starting a new business or expanding into a new market, having a solid marketing plan is an important key to success. In this interactive workshop, you will hear about innovative and creative ways to reach new and existing customers and learn practical marketing tips from a panel of successful small and home-based business owners. Panelists will include local business owners.

UMaine Cooperative Extension’s James C. McConnon, economics and small business specialist, will be the key presenter.

Fee for the class is $15. Preregistration and prepayment are required. The deadline to register is May 17.
