USM open house is May 14
PORTLAND — USM is hosting an open house for adults, transfers and graduate students from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, in USM’s Abromson Community Education Center, 88 Bedford St. Parking is free in the adjoining garage.
Hosted by the USM offices of Undergraduate Admission, Graduate Admission and Professional and Continuing Education, this event is part of an effort to help people with some college experience complete a degree, and remind those interested in expanding their education that pursuing their master’s degree at USM is a viable option.
Student services staff will be available and focused on helping nontraditional learners with busy lives, full-time jobs and family obligations find an educational fit that makes sense for them.
At USM, one third of the current student population is over 25, half of all admitted students are transfers and one-third of the student body attends part-time.
