Even though I am not a resident of Lewiston, I want to say “thank you” to all the firefighters who have worked so hard and together to battle the massive blazes that tore through downtown Lewiston recently.

I know it is their job to do so but I don’t think they are thanked enough for what they do on a daily basis. So, to all firefighters who came together from all the surrounding towns to battle those massive fires, I thank you.

I hope that after a grueling week of intense hard work, those guys have a better week than before. They are truly amazing and are true heroes who need and should be recognized as such more often.

I thank them again for all that they do and all that they have done. They are true role models.
