Many people say that marijuana should be illegal because it is a gateway drug when, in fact, it is a gateway to other illegal drugs only because it is illegal.

Alcohol retailers don’t give out samples of crack, nor do they refer you to someone who might have heroin for sale. Retailers of legal marijuana would be no different.
