AUBURN — Lucienne Morin Lavertu Sarasin, 94, of Auburn, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 16, with her loving family by her side.

Lucienne was born in Auburn, Oct. 11, 1918, the daughter of Arsene and Odile (Michaud) Morin. She married Roger Lavertu in 1940, and Fern Sarasin in 1975. She worked at the Hill Mill until 1956, and also as a Sunday School teacher at First Assembly from 1968 to 1988. Lucienne was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Lewiston.

She is survived by her husband, Fern Sarasin; children, Monique Levasseur, Roger Lavertu and his wife, Diane, Aline Lavertu, Joe Lavertu, Joan Levasseur and her husband, Donald and Rachel Lavertu; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Gerard Morin; and stepchildren, Roger Sarasin and Linda Coffin.

Lucienne was predeceased by her first husband, Roger Lavertu in 1969; her parents; sisters; Rose Guy, Bella Morin and Vivian Thibeault; and brothers, Fern Morin and Ronaldo Morin.
