Grange is hosting ‘souper’ supper

CHESTERVILLE — Chesterville Grange will have “souper” supper on Friday, May 24, serving between 5 and 6:30 p.m. Homemade soups, chowders, breads and dessert will be available. Cost is adults, $5; children, $2.50. For more information, call 778-2282 or 778-5845.

History Night in downtown Livermore Falls

LIVERMORE FALLS — History Night is taking place downtown on Friday, May 24. The Androscoggin Valley Medical Arts Center (AVMAC) will take part in the festivities by hosting an open house from 5 to 7 p.m.

Sponsored by the Livermore Falls Downtown Betterment Group, History Night will feature antique automobiles, music, food and entertainment.

“We invite History Night participants to visit the Androscoggin Valley Medical Arts Center from 5 to 7 p.m. to tour the areas that house Franklin Health Livermore Falls Family Practice, outpatient specialty care, and lab and radiology services,” said Wendy Hall, AVMAC services coordinator and a member of the Betterment Group.

Library calendar fundraiser last day Friday

LIVERMORE FALLS —  The last day to purchase tickets for the Treat Memorial Library Cash Calendar Fundraiser will be Friday, May 24, History Night. Tickets are $5 each or three for $10. Every day in June there will be a drawing for one person to win cash, ranging from $5 to $100. A calendar indicating the amount for each day comes with each ticket.

As summer gets closer, more hints are appearing regarding this year’s summer reading camp. The display case in the circulation desk will have things added, rearranged or removed, until the theme for this summer is revealed.

Elsie’s Re-Read Used Book Emporium is available during library hours. Paperbacks are 25 cents, DVDs or VHS, 50 cents, and the rest by donation.

LIVERMORE FALLS — Eaton Memorial United Methodist Church, corner of Church and Knapp streets, will hold its annual Memorial Day indoor yard sale from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 25.

Super-Duper yard, bake sale at Wilson Grange

WILTON — A Super-Duper 3-2-1 Yard and Bake Sale will be held at Wilson Grange from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 25. Along with housewares, furniture, plants, clothing and odds and ends, the Grange women have sweets and other treats for sale. Proceeds benefit maintenance of the Grange Hall.

Grange indoor yard sales opening June 1

FARMINGTON — Farmington Grange, 124 Bridge St., West Farmington, will host monthly indoor yard sales during the summer on first Saturdays,  starting June 1, through October. Tables are available for $10. Space is limited. The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Coffee and light refreshments will be available. To reserve space or for more information, call 778-6968.

Plant sale to be held in parking lot

JAY — A plant sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 1,  at the Otis Federal Credit Union parking lot, Main Street. All money raised goes to the Maine Credit Unions’ Ending Hunger Campaign. To donate plants, drop them off at the credit union or call Elise or Brenda at 897-0900. A raffle drawing will be held at noon.

North Jay Grange to host supper

JAY — North Jay Grange 10 will hold a supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 1. There will be baked beans, casseroles, salads, coleslaw, meatballs, hot dogs, rolls, beverages, dessert.
