Gifford’s Ice Cream 10 Pepsi 0 (4 innings)

AUBURN —   After 3 innings, Gifford’s led Pepsi by a 3-0 score but Gifford’s erupted for seven in the 4th to win a 10-0 shortened game. Gifford’s got multiple hits from Nick Hathaway, Ethan Brown and Ricky Cote who smacked a double and a triple. Hathaway and Cote shared the pitching duties for Gifford’s allowing only one hit. Gifford’s Austin Brown made a spectacular play in the field to perserve the shutout. Pepsi’s lone hit was a double from Gunner Winslow. Storm Jipson and Dylan Sellinger shared the mound for Pepsi.

Gifford’s Ice Cream 12 Hardy Wolf and Downing 2 (4 innings)

AUBURN —   Gifford’s Ice Cream scored four runs in each of the first four innings en route to a 12-2 win in a make-up game played on Sunday.  Gifford’s got 11 hits from six different players. Nick Hathaway (single,double, triple), Ethan Brown (single, triple) and Ricky Cote (double, inside the park Home Run) stayed hot in pacing Gifford’s offensively. Jacob Schofield had a hit for Gifford’s as well. 9-year old Luke Josephson took advantage of his first start on the mound striking out two over two innings and not allowing a run. For Hardy Wolf and Downing, Michael Potvin had a single, driving in a run. Joel Stubbs and George Romano also had hits for the attorneys.

Major Softball

Gee & Bee 18, Rotary 10

AUBURN —   Piper Norcross had two doubles and was the winning pitcher for Gee & Bee in the 18-10 victory over Rotary in Major Softball action. Lindsey Adams, Damaris Luna, Matty  Thistlewaite, and Jordan Cummings all had hits for Gee & Bee. Rotary got hits from Madison Hopping, Caroline Hammond and Elizabeth Marcotte.
