Relay For Life fundraiser dance, auction

MECHANIC FALLS — A Relay For Life fundraiser dance to benefit the Key Bank Team will be held at the Mechanic Falls American Legion from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, May 31.

Dog Pile has donated time to play. Cost is $10 a person. There will be burgers, hot dogs and fries for sale as well as baked goods, a 50/50, Red Sox vs Yankees raffle tickets, Relay items and two raffle baskets. For more information, contact Pam at 539-4563.

A Chinese auction will also benefit the Key Bank Team on Saturday, June 1, at the Oxford Hills Middle School. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and the auction will start at 1 p.m.

There will be gift certificates, baked goods and items of all kinds. as well as food. For more information, contact Pam.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on May 20 were as follows: first, Les Buzzell and David Lock; second, Nancy Farmer and Hazel Glazier; third, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird; fourth, Connie Webster and Rosemarie Goodwin; first in B & C, Nancy Farmer and Hazel Glazier; second in B & C, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird; third in B, Dick Allen and Chuck Thurston.

Winners on May 21 were: Connie Webster and Rosemarie Goodwin, Patricia Garcia and David Lock.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is guaranteed and all social bridge players are welcome. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for more information.

Boy Scout Troop to hold spaghetti supper

AUBURN — Boy Scouts Troop 007 will hold a spaghetti supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at West Auburn Congregational Church, 811 West Auburn Road.

Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for ages 5-10 and free for under 5. Proceeds will help the Scouts go to summer camp. For more information, call Donna Cote at 345-3124 or Pat at 576-5952.

Bean supper at American Legion hall

GRAY — A bean supper will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the American Legion Hall, 15 Lewiston Road.

The meal includes chop suey, coleslaw, hot dogs, breads and desserts. Cost is $8 for adults, $15 for couple, $2.50 for ages 5-11, free for under 5.

Sabattus Seniors to have dinner, meeting

LEWISTON — The Sabattus Seniors will dine at Schemenges at noon Thursday, June 6.  Members are asked to not arrive before 11:30 a.m.  Meal choices are chicken tenders, baked haddock, steak sub or hamburg steak. The meal includes potato and vegetable, drink, tip and dessert.

Those who did not sign up at the May meeting should contact Pauline at 375 4037 no later than Sunday, June 2. 

After the meal, members will return to the hall for a meeting and bingo.  Scholarship forms will be distributed. There will be no July meeting.  All seniors are invited to join the group. There is no residence requirement. If interested in joining, contact Joline at 375 4627.
