Relay For Life fundraiser dance, auction
MECHANIC FALLS — A Relay For Life fundraiser dance to benefit the Key Bank Team will be held at the Mechanic Falls American Legion from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, May 31.
Dog Pile has donated time to play. Cost is $10 a person. There will be burgers, hot dogs and fries for sale as well as baked goods, a 50/50, Red Sox vs Yankees raffle tickets, Relay items and two raffle baskets. For more information, contact Pam at 539-4563.
A Chinese auction will also benefit the Key Bank Team on Saturday, June 1, at the Oxford Hills Middle School. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and the auction will start at 1 p.m.

Church to host old-fashioned bean supper
PARIS — The First Baptist Church of Paris will hold an old-fashioned bean supper on Saturday, June 1. There will be several types of homebaked beans, homemade casseroles, brown bread and biscuits, pickles, hot dogs, beverages and homemade desserts.

Turkey supper to benefit 8-year-old
PARIS — A turkey supper will be held Saturday, June 1, at the VFW Post 9787, Main Street, to benefit 8-year-old brain cancer patient Nicholas Spring.
The first seating will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. A second seating will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Take-out meals are available.
Donations will be accepted.
Waterford World’s Fair dances beginning
WATERFORD — A Waterford World’s Fair dance night will be held Saturday, June 1, with the 43 North Band.
All dance nights are held at the Waterford World’s Fairground Dance Hall located at 36 Green Road, North Waterford. They start at 8 p.m. and admission is $10 a person.
The next dance night will be June 15 with the Rockin Roadrunners of Buckfield. On June 29 the band is Cold Blue Steel; July 13, Roadhouse; Aug. 3, Brazen Cane; Aug. 17, Country Ridge Riders; Sept. 7, Cold Blue Steel; and the last dance, Sept. 21, Brazen Cane.
