DEAR SUN SPOTS:I am writing about the job of emptying out a house’s contents before the owners sell it (May 27 column). I would be very interested in bidding on the job.

Usually I charge $15 per hour to remove contents. Do they want it cleaned up? Painted?

If you would give the people my phone number, I would be glad to talk to them and see if we could work something out. I am very reliable and just do this as a second job. — Pamela Griffin, 357-0904 or 264-3395

ANSWER: Sun Spots was stunned by how many people responded to this query. The entire column is filled with responses. Good news for the initial letter-writer No Name in Auburn, who can get a good price from a responsible service (ask for references and if they have liability insurance).

Not such good news for people in the business. Some advertising might be in order. With all the baby boomers approaching retirement and pondering downsizing, it could be a growing business.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I can be of assistance to the people looking to have their home cleared of personal contents prior to the sale of the home. Thank you for your consideration. — Nel Roy, North East Land Services, 212-3059, northeastlandservices@gmail.com
