Rain has disrupted the high school baseball and softball tournaments for the second day in a row.

Due to the wet weather, the Eastern Class A baseball final between Oxford Hills and Messalonskee scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Augusta has been postponed to 5 p.m. Thursday at Morton Field. Wednesday night’s Eastern Class A softball final between Skowhegan and Bangor was also postponed to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cony High School.

Wednesday’s slate of games at St. Joseph’s College are still on as scheduled. In softball, that includes the Western Class B final pitting Gray-New Gloucester against Greely at 3:30 p.m. and the Western Class A final between Sanford and Scarborough at 7 p.m.

Rain forced statewide postponements on Tuesday, with most of those games being moved to Thursday. The St. Joseph’s College schedule features several local teams. First pitch for the Western Class C baseball final involving Dirigo and St. Dom’s is set at 3 p.m. Buckfield and Richmond are now scheduled to play the Western Class D baseball final at 6:30 p.m. The Western C softball final between Dirigo and Madison is scheduled for 7 p.m.
