John Kimball, president, spoke of recent events related to the legislature, the governor and retired teachers’ concerns about retirement benefits, including insurance.

OCEA-R supports local students with annual scholarships for Oxford County students who are continuing their education after high school graduation. The group annually donates books to all the libraries in the county that have a children’s collection.

A delegation attends the state retired educators’ convention every year. The group provide an opportunity for retirees to enjoy the company of people with similar interests; and, perhaps most importantly, provides a voice for the interests of retired educators.
