LEWISTON — Northeast Bancorp, the parent company of Lewiston-based Northeast Bank, has announced it will take no new clients for its investment brokerage firm, Northeast Financial Services.

The company released a statement Tuesday saying it will close the investment brokerage to new customers within the next 60 to 90 days. The statement said the bank will continue to provide those services to existing customers with other Northeast Bank accounts through the transition.

Richard Wayne, CEO of Northeast Bancorp, said the bank will focus on “core business lines.”
