The 17th annual Liberty Festival starts at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with live entertainment at Festival Plaza in Auburn and Veterans Memorial Park in Lewiston. The day will end with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. over Great Falls on the Androscoggin River.
