LEBANON (AP) — A man operating a commercial riding mower was thrown about 100 feet but suffered just minor injuries after the mower inadvertently entered the road and was struck by a full-size van.
Rescue officials say the mower was being used to groom the side of the Carl Broggi Highway when it entered the roadway at about 1 p.m. Sunday.
The mower and driver were thrown, and although the mower sustained thousands of dollars in damage, the operator refused transportation to the hospital. The mower rolled over several times and landed 150 feet away.
The van suffered some minor damage and the driver and passenger were unhurt.
The accident remains under investigation.
