LEWISTON — The Defense of Liberty political action committee will hold its 2nd Annual Defense of Liberty BBQ at the home of Stavros Mendros on Saturday, July 27 starting at 1 p.m.
The headline speaker will be Ben Swann, an award-winning television reporter who has received international attention for covering controversial issues in his fact-checking series, Reality Check, at Fox19 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Swann most recently announced the launch of a crowd-source funded “Truth in Media Project” to continue production of his show, “Full Disclosure.”
Defense of Liberty will be releasing its first Liberty Report Card of the Maine Legislature and will announce its Two Liberty Legislators of the Year for the state House and Senate.
Food offerings will include hamburgers, hotdogs, vegetarian options and an assortment of sides.
The event is open to the public. Price is $35 for adults, $5 for children under 12.

All proceeds go towards benefitting the PAC and the candidates it supports.
