DIXFIELD — Memorial services for Lillian Mae Penley of Dixfield, were held on Saturday from the Dixfield Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Charles Mason officiating. Clarice Dunham served as organist. The service opened with condolences to the family and an opening prayer, followed by the readings of John 14:1-6, The Lord’s Prayer, and Luke 11. “Amazing Grace,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” were the featured hymns. A period of reflection followed along with a closing prayer and committal service. The family then went to Greenwood Cemetery for a private committal and the services concluded with a large luncheon at the church with the food prepared by Frank’s BBQ and Deep Fry. Cremation and memorial services were cared for and provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center.
