ORONO — Alendra Delia-Anne Harris, daughter of George and Shelley Harris of Auburn, was awarded a degree of Bachelor of Arts in theatre from the University of Maine at Orono on May 11.

She is a 2009 graduate of Edward Little High School.

ORONO — Thomas Michael Puiia, son of Tom and Linda Puiia of Rumford, has graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with the distinction of cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.

Other accomplishments include induction into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, School of Engineering, Presidential Achievement Award recipient, induction into the prestigious Frances Crowe Society, an honor bestowed upon graduating engineers who have met all scholastic requirements.

In June 2013, Tommy received his engineer-intern certificate from the State of Maine Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers. This certificate allows him to practice as an engineer-intern in their gas and oil energy division. He will also attend the Vibration Institute Training Conference in Jacksonville, Fla. this summer. He will return to the University of Maine at Orono Business School this fall to pursue a masters degree in business administration.

WORCESTER, Mass. — Jacob Kelly, a first year student at the College of the Holy Cross, has been named to the dean’s list for the second semester of the 2012-13 academic year.

He is the son of Patrick and Joan Kelly of Otisfield. His major has currently not been declared.

WALTHAM, Mass. — Brett Bisesti of Greene was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree with honors at Bentley University on May 18.

Brett majored in finance and minored in economics and computer science. He works for Androscoggin Bank as a data analyst.

His undergraduate activities included treasurer for the Kappa Sigma fraternity and website design.

He is the son of Jim and Nancy Bisesti.

LEWISTON — Jennifer M. Bergeron of Lewiston was named to the dean’s list at Bates College as a result of her scholastic standing during the winter semester of the 2012-13 academic year.

Bergeron, a biological chemistry major and a religion minor, is a 2010 graduate of Lewiston High School. She is the daughter of Kathleen T. Bergeron and the late Raymond T. Bergeron of Lewiston.

She is a member of the Bates Ballroom Team and Bates Masti (Bollywood dance), is a teacher’s assistant for organic chemistry and works for the college’s advancement office.

She was accepted into the Tufts Medical School Maine track program as a sophomore through Tuft’s Early Assurance Program, the first student to do so, and will begin there in the fall of 2014.

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Kristin Jacques, daughter of Ron and Kathy Jacques of Lewiston, was awarded a master of science in nursing degree with a pediatric nurse practitioner concentration at Boston College during commencement exercises on May 20.

She is employed as a registered nurse at Boston’s Children’s Hospital.

MEDFORD, Mass. —Benjamin D. Armstrong of Auburn has been placed on the dean’s list at Tufts University for maintaining an honor average during the spring 2013 academic term.
