The festival Board of Directors is once again asking to see the festival from your perspective: from the ground, from the air or down on the water. Enter your photo(s) in this year’s photo contest for a chance to win a cash prize!

Official Rules:

• Only non-professional photographers may enter

• Two categories will be judged: Adult and 18 & Under

• Photos must be from the 2013 Great Falls Balloon Festival

• Entries must be 8″x10″ or 8″x12″ prints mounted using an 11″x14″ mat with backing

• Completed entry form must be secured to the back of each entry

• Photos must be submitted by September 20, 2013

• Limit of two entries per person

Submitting your photo is easy.

During the festival, entries may be submitted at the Great Falls Balloon Festival Souvenir Booth. After the festival, entries may be submitted in-person at the Sun Journal, 104 Park Street, Lewiston. Entries may also be mailed to “Balloon Festival Photo Contest,” c/o Sun Journal, P.O. Box 4400, Lewiston, ME 04243-4400.

Prizes are awarded in two categories: Adult and 18 & Under.

One Best in Show prize will be awarded.

Best in Show receives $100; first place winners will receive $75; second place winners will receive $50; and third place winners will receive $25.

All winners receive a festival t-shirt!

Winners will be notified at the beginning of October and a winner’s reception will be held Sunday, October 13 at the Women’s Pavilion at St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston.
