1924 – 2013

AUBURN — Helen J. Coombs, formerly of Greene, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Clover Manor, where she lived for the past two years.

Born in Lisbon on March 21, 1924, a daughter of the late Joseph and Celina Bolduc Duval, she was educated in Lisbon schools. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish and was married to Alfred W. Coombs, who died April 3, 1990. She worked at Belgrade Shoe, Weymouth Shoe and Burger King.

Helen enjoyed playing cards and going to casinos.

She is survived by her daughter, Vivian Fortin; her son, Lionel Lussier; and a sister, Rose Maley. She is also survived by her companion, George A. Bernier of Greene.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Marie Aldrich, Cecile Laroche, Mabel Roy, Alice Caron, Florence Laroche and Juliette Berube; and her brothers, Joseph, Arthur and Laurier Duval.
