RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of David Joseph Jannace was celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 17, at Parish of the Holy Savior.
Fr. Greg Dube was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist, accompanied by the choir. Music selections were “Ave Maria,” “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Let There Be Peace On Earth.”
The Old Testament was proclaimed by Jane Arsenault. The New Testament was proclaimed by nephew Lee Arsenault. Offertory gifts were presented by godchildren Adam and Zach Rutherford. Personal reflections written by nephew Lee Anderson were shared by godchild and niece Anne-Marie Jannace Brown, and a poem was shared by friend Larry Gomez.
Interment was in St. John Cemetery with military honors rendered by the Maine Funeral Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Bruce Murray, Justin Murray, Bill Murray and Jeff Rutherford. A reception served by the Daughters of Isabella was in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
