1922 – 2013

LEWISTON — Helen M. Malley, 91, of Lewiston and formerly of Mexico for many years, died Monday, Aug. 26, at Marshwood Center.

She was born in Rumford on April 22, 1922, the daughter of S. Harris and V. Marguerite (Russ) Jones, and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, Class of 1940. She served in the U.S. Navy Waves as a Hospital Apprentice Mate First Class from 1944 to 1946.

She was married in Rumford on Oct. 25, 1947, to William M. Malley who died in Lewiston, on Jan. 26, 1987.

Survivors include sons, David Malley and wife, Maureen, of Salt Lake City, Utah, William Malley Jr. and wife, Peggy, of Rumford and Richard Malley of Ipswich, Mass.; daughters, Elizabeth Hurd and husband, Russell, of Beverly, Mass., and Marilyn Antipollo and husband, Pablo, of Sandy, Utah; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Nora Babb of Plantersville, Miss.; and brothers, Walter Jones of Rumford and Herman Jones of Sierra Vista, Ariz.
