MONMOUTH — Kylie Kemp hit her milestone in style Saturday.

The Monmouth Academy senior, back from an early-season injury, netted three goals — all in the first half — to help lead the Mustangs to a 6-0 win over Winthrop in MVC girls’ soccer action.

The goals were her 60th, 61st and 62nd for Monmouth (5-1), giving Kemp the all-time school scoring record.

“I don’t know if she was thinking about it,” Monmouth coach Gary Trafton said, “but I’m sure it’s nice to get it out of the way and move on.”

Perhaps equally important to Kemp was assisting on her twin sister Kristin’s first goal of the season later in the first half. Haley Fletcher added the other two goals for the Mustangs, and Mikayla Cameron and Madi Neal stopped six shots combined in the shutout.
