MEXICO — Want to go to college, but your math skills are a little rusty? Are you in college, but have avoided taking your math course, because you hate math? Did you drop out of college because you couldn’t pass the math classes? Are you a senior in high school and struggling to pass your math Accuplacer test for admission?
Region 9 Adult Education will run two levels of college prep math classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Oct. 15. Get eight weeks of solid math instruction to help make your dreams of a college education come true.
Last year’s students were able to pass at least one of the math entrance exams by the time they finished the class. This saved them hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on their tuition bills.
Call Nancy Allen at364-2012 to discuss placement in these classes. If you have recent Accuplacer scores, have them available.
This course is funded through a FAME Maine College Access Challenge Grant. There is no cost for the class.
