RUMFORD — Have you ever said the same thing, at the same time, as a best friend or sibling? Have you ever felt like you’ve been there, and done that, even though there’s no possible way you could have? Have you ever felt so strongly that something will happen, and then it does?
If so, you may have experienced a bit of the weird and wonderful powers of the mind. Three individuals who have found that they share similar skills will unite for an evening of unusual entertainment at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 49 Franklin in the Mystic Theater. Discover the fascinating, and unexplained phenomena that happens in the mind with “The Mind Benders.”
“The Swami” will host the event, and lead you into the world of the unexplained. Scot Grassette received the nickname from fellow performers because of his desire to research and learn the history and facts revolving around mental illusions, perceptions, and precognition, and he will showcase what he has discovered.
Have you ever had the sense of déjà vu? “The Oracle” gets it all the time, Dennis Labbe will harness his ability to see into the future as well as display his ability of telepathy and mind control as some of the mind skills he has acquired over the years.
They call Nick Graham “The Cat” as in “The Catalyst” for his ability to focus and pinpoint psychokinetic energy to move items, bend metal and affect physical objects. “ The Catalyst” will also feature other mental and physical abilities that he has developed including clairvoyance and divination and martial arts.
This event is suitable for all ages and there will be plenty of comedy, audience interaction and amazing experiments.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for seating social. Pub food will be available. Tickets are $8 available at Bartash’s and All That Jazz on Congress Street, also at www.49franklin.com. Remaining tickets will be available at the door.
