FARMINGTON — A Phillips man was indicted Wednesday on charges in a physical assault on a woman and using his vehicle to ram the rear of another vehicle she and others were riding in.

The victim and Pillsbury were sitting outside his house on Wheeler Hill Road in Phillips when he assaulted her, Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said in September.

She left and called a new boyfriend to pick her up. He did, and Pillsbury rammed the back of that vehicle while going about 50 mph, Nichols said.

Deputies responded to a report of a hit-and-run.

When they got there, they found that the victim was injured from the assault; she was taken by ambulance to a hospital, he said.

There was significant damage to the rear of the vehicle that Pillsbury rammed, Nichols said.
