FARMINGTON — Front Street is preparing for Saturday’s Pumpkin Festival.

Franklin Savings Bank is calling all pumpkin carvers: We want to see your work!

“The Front Street Pumpkin Festival will feature an exhibit of decorated pumpkins, but we’re counting on the talent of local gourd artists to bring the display to life,” said Anna Lyon of Franklin Savings Bank, one of the organizers of the festival. “We are looking forward to being ‘wowed’ by the talent in our community.”

Painted gourds and carved pumpkins can be brought to the Festival Information Booth by the Franklin Savings Bank staircase on Front Street for check-in and display location and instructions.

The artists are welcome to bring their creations home after the fireworks or anytime on Sunday.

Front Street’s second Pumpkin Festival will get underway at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, and will continue through the fireworks display at 6:30 p.m. or so.
