Maifeld

RUMFORD — Henry and Isobel Maifeld of Rumford attended a celebration cookout of their 50th anniversary on Sept. 21 at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Mary Maifeld, and granddaughter, Meagan, in Rumford Center.

Many family, friends, former co-workers and horseshoe players attended the special event. It should be noted that two of the attending families, Roscoe and Lorrie Hodsdon of Roxbury and Earl and Verlinda Swan from Connecticut, have been friends for 40 years or nearly all of the 50 years the Maifelds have been married.

A collage comprised of numerous photos of their life during the past 50 years was composed by their daughter, Deborah House, and given as a gift during the cookout.

The couple was married Sept. 21, 1963, at Stony Creek in Branford, Conn. They have three children and five grandchildren in Maine and Virginia.
