AUGUSTA — The local music group The Whitefields will perform from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, as part of Lithgow Public Library’s local music series “Live and Local at the Library.”
The Saturday morning concerts held in the Reading Room are free and open to the public.
The Whitefields started out as a duo – Sarah Crosby on rhythm guitar/vocals and Josh Cichowski on lead guitar and vocals – and later evolved to include Abe Chase on bass and Bryan Luciano on drums. The group plays covers from classic artists like Johnny Cash and Prince, along with newer artists including the Lumineers, Alabama Shakes and Mayer Hawthorne. The Whitefields are also working on writing and arranging some original songs.
Lithgow Library is at 45 Winthrop Street. For more information, call 207-626-2415 or visit www.lithgow.lib.me.us.
