LEWISTON — A fall herb class series, “Brain Fuel,” will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 22 to Nov. 12, at The Ark, 791 Lisbon St.
The program will answer, Does what we eat and drink affect our mind? Information will be given on herbal and natural remedies for depression, anxiety, ADHD, Alzheimer’s, etc.
Presenters will be Jane Kuntz, family and consultation herbalist, and Mary Penner, nurse practitioner.

Tuesday, Oct. 22, “Headlights needed,” on how to prevent and combat depression.
Tuesday, Oct. 29, “Slow, danger ahead.” How to ease stress, anxiety and insomnia.
Tuesday, Nov. 5, “Check your brakes.” Nutritional and natural remedies for ADD and ADHD.
Tuesday, Nov. 12, “Time for an oil change.” Essential fatty acids play a key role in brain function. Lifestyle, nutrition and herbs can reduce the risk of dementia or Alzheimer’s.
