1930 – 2013

AUBURN — Theodore W. Mullins, 83, a resident of Main Street, Jay, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 17, at Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice in Auburn, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Sept. 29, 1930, in Hallowell, the son of Allen and Helen (Tobey) Mullins. He attended school in Augusta. On June 30, 1951, in Augusta, he married his wife of 58 years, Mary “Betty” Mullins. She passed away on June 1, 2010.

Ted served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956 during the Korean War. He worked for Norwalk Shoe and Bass Shoe, retiring from Bass in 1993.

He enjoyed tinkering on old clocks, spending time with his family and especially loved the time together with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Bilodeau and her husband, Mike, of Jay, and Dorothy Hall of Concord, N.H.; five grandchildren, Brent Bilodeau and his wife, Tammy, Joel Bilodeau and his wife, Kristy, and Robert, Courtney and Catherine Cabana; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Gavin, Reagan and Orrin Bilodeau and Ella Cabana-Flick; his brother, Roger Mullins and his wife, Lita, of Dover-Foxcroft; his sister, Madeline Clough of Gardiner; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Betty Mullins; brother, Robert Mullins; and sisters, Patricia and Gloria Mullins.

His family would like thank Clover Manor and Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for the care they gave to Ted.
