LIVERMORE FALLS — Police recovered a car Wednesday night on Union Street that was reported stolen from Lewiston earlier that day.
Local police were notified of the stolen 2005 Honda Civic at 6:13 a.m. Wednesday, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Thursday. A person was warming it up in a driveway, went inside a building and came out to find it gone, he said. Lewiston police said the car was reported stolen at 4:55 a.m.
Livermore Falls police found it parked on the street with no one around it at 7:10 p.m. Lewiston police notified the owners to pick it up, Steward said.
