RUMFORD — There will be a benefit for Lloyd Billings at the Eagles Club on Saturday, Oct. 26. All are welcome and donations will be welcomed.
St. Dom’s, McAuley open houses
PORTLAND — Saint Dominic Academy, on 121 Gracelawn Road in Auburn, will host their open house at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3. Student ambassadors, coaches, faculty, moderators and current parents will all be in attendance to share information. Classroom demonstrations and representatives from many different student activities will also participate in the afternoon’s program.
Saint Dominic Academy currently draws students from Portland to Waterville and from Fryeburg to Bath. The school enables students to experience a challenging, values-based education with a commitment to service in the community. Catherine McAuley High School, on 631 Stevens Ave., Portland, will host their open house at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. It is Maine’s only college-preparatory private school for young women. Students come from all over the world and from many different religious and cultural backgrounds. KVCC open house set for Nov. 16
FAIRFIELD — Kennebec Valley Community College will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 16, featuring campus tours, financial aid guidance, program information and more.
The open house in the Carter Hall Multipurpose Center will include refreshments. It is free and open to the public.
Anyone attending the open house will be eligible to enter a raffle to win one free general education course at KVCC. KVCC’s application fee will be also be waived for all those attending the event.
Each program at KVCC will have a table at the open house. New programs launching in the spring will include a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in culinary arts and a new section of KVCC’s popular electrical lineworker technology program that will allow students to complete that program in eight months.
Registration will begin Nov. 12, with classes beginning Jan. 6.
