LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life of Barbara L.M. Beaucage was celebrated by the Reverend Aaron Damboise Saturday morning at Holy Family Church of the Prince of Peace Parish.

At the beginning of Mass, Barbara’s immediate family draped the white burial pall over her casket signifying Barbara’s Baptism into a new spiritual life with God.

During Mass the Old Testament reading was proclaimed Barbara’s brother, Fred Foster Jr. and the New Testament was proclaimed by a close family friend, Mike Lapointe. The Prayer of the Faithful was recited by Barbara’s niece, Mandy May. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Barbara’s four grandchildren, Shelby, Brendon, Breah and Garrett. Prior to Communion “Amazing Grace” was sung by Barbara’s granddaughter, Shelby Carter, and family friend. Kendall Timberlake.

Also in attendance were a delegation of “Rat Hatters” and representatives of Androscoggin Bank.

The pallbearers were Bo, Bob and Jeremy Levesque, Mike Lapointe, John Foster and Brendon Croteau.

At the conclusion of Mass a reception line was formed by the family in the back of church where they were greeted with a personal condolence from those in attendance and then the family invited them all to a reception of fellowship at the Elks Lodge in Lewiston.

Graveside committal prayers are be be held Tuesday 11 a.m. in the family lot at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.
