1947 – 2013

AUBURN — Doris T. Thibodeau, 66, of Zachary Drive in Greene, died on Monday evening, Oct. 28, at the Androscoggin Hospice House, with her family by her side following a long illness.

Doris was born in Lewiston on July 1, 1947, the daughter of the late Alphonse and Gloria (Simoneau) Nadeau. She attended local schools. On Sept. 14, 1968, she married Richard J. Thibodeau, who survives her of Greene. She was employed at Bates College in environmental services for many years, prior to her retirement.

Her interests included camping, spending time with friends and family, shopping with her daughter and granddaughter, her dog, Browny, and her favorite pastime of watching television.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Vicky Lacombe and her husband, Ernie, of Turner; three grandchildren, Brooke, Kristy-Mae and Brent Lacombe; three brothers, Maurice and wife, Claudette Nadeau, Raymond and wife, Anita Nadeau, and Jerry and wife, Linda Nadeau; eight sisters, Theresa Bourgoin, Claudette Vaillancourt, Sylvia Morin, Madeline Theriault, Lorraine Fournier, Marianne and husband, Richard Bergeron, Anita and husband, Bob Bedard, and Jacqueline Demers; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Becky Thibodeau, who died in 1987; and by one sister, Sylvia Morin.
