OTISFIELD — Donald Edward Johnstone, 81, of Otisfield, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27, at his home surrounded in love by his family.

He was born on Oct. 31, 1931, in Lynn, Mass., the son of the late Donald and Marjorie Hills Johnstone. He attended Lynn schools and St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Donald worked at General Electric for many years while living in Lynn, Mass., with his late wife, Rose Zucaro, and their three children. He was married for 32 years to his loving wife, Ann Owens Johnstone, formerly of Lynnfield, Mass.

Donald was a member of the Masonic lodge. He loved the country, walking in the woods, hunting, gardening, cutting wood and using his tractor. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, sliding and tapping for maple syrup.

He is survived by his wife, Ann, of Otisfield; his children, Donald J. Johnstone and his partner, Richard Downey, of Hopkinton, Mass., Bonnie Johnstone and David Johnstone, both of Pocasset, Mass., Mark Owens and wife, Lisa, of Weatherford, Texas, Pamela Owens Morrison and husband, Jack, of North Reading, Mass., Melinda Owens Popp of North Kingstown, R.I., and Paul Owens and wife, Leanne, of West Newberry, Mass.; and 12 grandchildren, Joseph Downey, Autumn Owens, Almon Owens, Salina Owens, Ryan Morrison, Caitlin Cammarasano, Kirsten Morrison, Erik Morrison, Melody Popp, Jimmy Bourke, Lily Owens and Max Owens.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Rose, and his parents.
