Voters in RSU 5 approved a $14.7 million renovation of Freeport High School in a referendum Tuesday. The total vote from the towns of Freeport, Durham and Pownal was 2,324 to 2,252.

But they rejected a $1.7 million project for track and field renovations. That vote total was 1,776 to 2,793.

Results by town were:

Durham, question 1, 467 yes and 828 no; question 2,  327 yes and 966 no.

Freeport, question 1, 1,639 yes and 1,029 no; question 2, 1,340 yes and 1,322 no.

Pownal, question 1, 218 yes and 395 no; question 2, 109 yes and 505 no.
