MPBN one-day pledge drive

LEWISTON — The Maine Public Broadcasting Network is holding a Super Thursday One-Day Pledge drive on Thursday, Nov. 7. The on-air drive will run from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., and online donations can be made throughout the day starting at midnight.

The primary objective of the pledge campaign is to secure the necessary support for MPBN while interrupting radio programming as little as possible.

Listeners and supporters can make a donation by calling 1-800-866-1475 or by clicking “Support” on www.mpbn.net.

Friends Together holiday bazaar

LIVERMORE FALLS — Friends Together Peer Support and Recovery Center will host a holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at 31 Park St., next to the fire station.

Funds from this activity will benefit the group’s many activities throughout the year.

There will be raffles on theme baskets, Christmas trees, crochet doll and other items.

Also a white elephant table. Baked goods, books, puzzles and many more items.

Supper benefits Marston family

TURNER — Nezinscot Lodge in Turner is doing fundraising for the Russell Marston family in Turner.

A spaghetti supper will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Quimby Hall.

Bear harvest is meeting topic

WILTON — The Wilton Fish & Game Association will have James Cote of JM Cote Company speaking on the Bear Referendum at their meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the clubhouse, 240 U.S. Route 2. The public is welcome.

Cote will speak on the harvesting of bear and will be answering questions on the referendum. There will be time for an open discussion. Cote is an avid outdoorsman and has led many statewide campaigns.

Christmas Bazaar at Town Hall

INDUSTRY — A Christmas Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Industry Town Hall. 

The fair, sponsored by the United in Christ Presbyterian Church, will feature raffles, gift items, baked goods and luncheon specials.
