Chretien

RUMFORD — The wedding of April Marie Pulkkinen and Michael Cole Chretien was held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 28 at 49 Franklin, Rumford. L. Clinton Boothby, notary public and family friend, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Chretien is the daughter of Eleanor Gordon of South Paris. Mr. Chretien is the son of Gerard and Susan Chretien of Livermore Falls.

The bride was given in marriage by Carl Young, friend of the couple. She wore an ivory and champagne strapless beaded fitted gown, with flared bottom and carried a bouquet of fall flowers with white roses.

Aimee Ames, friend, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Fortier, friend, and Samantha Pulkkinen, Marley Valsecchi and Kayla Knowles, cousins of the bride. Isabella Chretien, daughter of the couple, was flower girl.

Alan Chretien, brother of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Jason Allen, life-long friend of the bridegroom, David Ames, friend of the bridegroom, Jason Dube, cousin of the bridegroom, and Adam Bilodeau, friend of the bridegroom. Brody Chretien, son of the couple, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at 49 Franklin in Rumford, after which the couple traveled to the mountains of Western Maine. They are residing in Livermore Falls.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and is a stay-at-home mom.

The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Livermore Falls High School and a 2004 graduate of Central Maine Community College with an associate degree in electro/mechanical field. He is employed at New Page Paper Mill in Rumford in the electrical department.
