AVON — A Rangeley man was injured Tuesday night when he lost control of his vehicle on Route 4, Maine State Police Sgt. Mathew Casavant said Wednesday.

The 2005 Subaru Legacy driven by Dustin Hines, 22, of Rangeley crossed the centerline and crashed in a ditch, he said.

“Speed and icy road conditions are considered factors,” Casavant said. No charges were filed.

A passenger, Benjamin Ross, 23, of Rangeley, complained of pain and was taken by NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. Haley White, 22, of Rangeley was also a passenger.

Trooper Jesse Duda investigated the crash, which caused substantial damage to the car.
