LIVERMORE FALLS — Santa’s Workshop, a light parade and a Christmas tree lighting will take place Saturday, Dec. 14.

The Spirit of the Season Committee will hold Santa’s Workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the cafeteria of the former Spruce Mountain High School.

Children ages 12 and younger can buy gifts for their family members for 25 cents. There will be baked goods and other goodies for sale while parents wait for their children to shop.

At 5:15 p.m., the Spirit of the Season Parade will kick off from the MEMCO plumbing and heating supplies parking lot on Main Street in Jay. The light parade will continue down Main Street to the gazebo in downtown Livermore Falls.

After the parade, Santa steps off the firetruck to go in the Bank Building to visit with children. If people want pictures of children with Santa, they will have to bring their camera.

Bulbs are still available to buy in honor or in memory of a person for Spirit of the Season Tree. The bulbs are $5 each. Donation forms can be picked up at the Androscoggin Bank at the Jay Plaza or at various businesses around town.

All money collected will be used to buy coats for children in RSU 73, which serves Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls children.
