Arrests
* Alyssa Porter, 24, Mexico, domestic violence assault, 3:14 p.m. Dec. 19 on Cumberland Street. She was also summoned on a charge of disorderly conduct. Porter was freed on $800 unsecured bail and is to be arraigned on Jan. 7 in 11th District Court.
Between Dec. 3 and Dec. 12 the Rumford Police Department handled 87 calls for service. Among these:
* At 10:05 a.m. on Dec. 9, a Rumford resident reported that her husband had a female sign and cash her check at a local business. It is under investigation.
* At 12:21 p.m. on Dec. 8, a Pine Street resident reported that his computer was stolen. After an investigation, Sgt. Tracey Higley summoned Gerald Pelletier, 48, of Mexico on a charge of theft in the incident, and Robert Pelletier, 33, of Mexico on a charge of theft (accomplice liability). Both Pelletiers are to be arraigned on Jan. 7 in 11th District Court.
* At 8:19 a.m. on Dec. 6, a Route 232 resident reported theft of fuel from an outside fuel storage tank. It is being investigated.
* At 4:59 p.m. Dec. 5, police received a criminal mischief complaint that someone with a firearm had shot a window out of a camp off Andover Road, causing interior damage, as well. Damage was estimated at $1,000. It is being investigated.
* At 7:23 p.m. on Dec. 4, a Washington Street resident reported a burglary and theft of tools from his locked garage. It is under investigation.
