AUGUSTA (AP) — A weekly survey has found that average cash price for home heating oil has gone up 2 cents in Maine to $3.66 per gallon.

The Governor’s Energy Office said Tuesday that that’s 13 cents higher than the average price a month ago.

The average kerosene price is also up 2 cents to $4.06 per gallon and propane has risen 7 cents to $2.92 a gallon.

Around the state oil prices ranged from a high of $3.95 in central Maine to a low of $3.45 found in the southwestern and western parts of the state.

Officials said heating oil prices are following a trend similar to last year, by increasing as the demand for heating rises. But officials say oil supplies are adequate to meet the demand.
