AUGUSTA (AP) — Republican Gov. Paul LePage is applauding the news that a new seafood processing facility is about to launch in eastern Maine.
LePage said Monday that Campobello Holdings will soon begin operations at its new plant in Eastport. He says the company plans to create 15 new jobs over the next two years.
The facility will be used to process, blast freeze, package and export lobster and other seafood products.
The governor said “the new processing facility will serve as a direct link from Maine waters to markets across the globe.”
