NORWAY — Perry Palmer of Norway and Susan Palmer of Dunnellon, Fla., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Palmer of Norway, to Shane Sagers of Maquoketa, Iowa. Mr. Sagers’ parents, Michael and Tammi Sagers of Maquoketa, Iowa, are also proud to acknowledge the engagement.
The future bride graduated from Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in 2003. She attended Quinnipiac University and then the University of South Florida for a master’s degree in public health. She continued her education at MCPHS in Manchester, N.H., and received a master’s degree of physician assistant studies in 2011. She currently works as a physician assistant at Pediatric Associates in Lewiston.
The future bridegroom graduated from Maquoketa High School in 2006. He earned his bachelor’s degree in fire science from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2010. He moved to Maine to accept a job position where he currently works as a firefighter/paramedic for the city of Augusta.
The couple resides in Norway with their dog, Avery. They enjoy the outdoors, skiing, snowmobiling, being at their camp in Jackman and spending time with family and friends.
A fall wedding is planned for Oct. 4, 2014.
