***Narrative shall be typed. It should be submitted to the River Valley Chamber office at 10 Bridge Street in Rumford along with the completed application form no later than May 1, 2014. The scholarship committee will then evaluate the essay for clarity of expression, conciseness, and content.

Guidelines for Funds Administration

The student pursuing a two-year or a four-year program will be awarded $250 during the first year, paid directly to the student on completion of the first semester and presentation of his/her grade point average transcript to the Chamber office.

Written proof of return to college for the second semester must also be made at that time.

If the student does not complete his/her course studies, the funds will revert to the scholarship committee to be awarded to a student attending college, from the same graduating class.
