Nomination papers are due 
next week for the March 11 municipal elections in Orono.
There are two three-year terms opening up on the town council. The terms of Geoff Gordon and Cindy Mehnert are expiring. On RSU 26’s board of directors, there are two openings as well. The terms of Lisa Buck and Jacob Eckert are expiring.
The deadline for filing papers is on or before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24. At least 25, but no more than 100, names are required to be placed on the ballot for the municipal elections.
